Intuitive Homes is a company passionate about building technology into the fabric of luxury homes, creating exciting, intuitive and effortless experiences for homeowners. Their bespoke smart home systems bring together best-in-class technology and award-winning industry expertise to enhance home living without compromising design aesthetics.

THE BRIEF

Intuitive Homes is my husband's business and I had long promised that I’d provide brand and marketing support when I set up on my own. As a small business juggling many priorities, their brand and marketing activity often fell to the bottom of the pile of priorities. We had a very basic website that was never up to date and a brand that was last refreshed 8 years ago. It was all feeling a bit tired and dated and they needed a full new suite of sales collateral as well as a complete review of every brand touchpoint. 

THE MARKET

Smart home technology is a competitive market with many new entrants and the Intuitive Homes brand was blending in rather than standing out. We wanted to create a brand that attracted the right type of customers and provided reassurance that Intuitive Homes are the best in the business and know the industry inside out.

THE PROCESS

Intuitive Homes target customers are luxury home owners, high end property developers and architects and interior designers so we had to map out each audience and their needs and wants. I also undertook a complete brand audit reviewing all existing activity and mapping out the customer touchpoints and reviewing competitor brands. 

We interviewed customers, partners and potential customers to better understand their needs and identify any potential pain points in process.

From this insight we spent a lot of time rewriting the brand story to really bring out the customer benefits and simplify what is actually a complicated and in depth service. 

Working with the talented Catherine Giaquinto, we started looking at a new visual identity for the brand compromising of a new logo, brandmark, fonts, icons, photography and videography styling.

THE SOLUTION

With a great new look and a clear and compelling story we then carefully planned the roll out across of the new brand identity across all touchpoints from quotes and invoices to uniforms and social media. The new story and positioning sets them apart from other smart home technology businesses but more importantly speaks to their customers needs and identifies and solves the common concerns.

We also introduced new systems that made quotes and proposals much more streamlined and started using videos to explain the more complicated side of the process to clients.
