When we had the chance to rebrand Bromleys Art Supplies, a well-loved family business with deep roots in the UK art community, we were thrilled. With a rich heritage and a loyal customer base, Bromleys was undergoing exciting changes, including a new e-commerce platform, and was ready for a brand evolution. Their mission was clear: bring new energy to their brand while honouring their legacy and making a lasting impact in the online art supplies market.

  • Bromleys Art Supplies, previously branded as Ken Bromley Art Supplies, hadn’t updated their brand in over 15 years. In that time, they’d grown into one of the UK’s leading art suppliers with a growing international reach. With their upcoming website replatforming, Bromleys felt it was the perfect opportunity to refresh their brand identity. They wanted a name and look that would resonate with a broader audience while still feeling personal and approachable. Additionally, their broad customer base—ranging from beginners to professional artists—called for a brand narrative that spoke to diverse needs and skill levels.

  • We began with a thorough brand audit and competitor analysis to identify strengths and untapped market opportunities. Through customer focus groups, we gained key insights into the diverse needs of beginners, hobbyists, and professionals, who valued Bromleys' quality and expertise but required varying levels of guidance. Beginners often felt overwhelmed by choices, while advanced artists sought detailed yet streamlined information. This led us to propose a new strategy. Armed with these insights, we developed a bold new brand identity and strategy that emphasised Bromleys’ legacy, quality, and customer trust—creating a modernised, approachable brand that resonates with both new and seasoned artists.

The rebrand has positioned Bromleys to engage effectively with a broader audience, helping both beginners and seasoned artists feel supported and inspired by a trusted, approachable brand.
